Most used Kilimanjaro trekking routes are as follows arranged according to popularity: Marangu route, Rongai route, Machame route, Shira route, Lemosho route and Umbwe route. Climbing mount kilimanjaro is challenging but this is successful when you do it with well trained certified mountain guides. Climbing kilimanjaro via machame and/or rongai is most successful and rewarding trips.

After landing on a grass airstrip on Mafia it is still a further hour by jeep.

Changuu Private Island Paradise, also known as Prison Island is an exquisite paradise with a private white sandy beach, dense forest, unspoiled placid waters and coral reef. This paradise in eastern Tanzania is also a haven for rare bird species and a unique group of permanent residents since 1919 known as the Aldabra Giant tortoises. This endangered species were a gift from the Seychelles government and have grown from an initial group of 4 to over 100.

Mji Mkongwe (in Swahili) or Stone town is the ancient part of Zanzibar City, the capital of the island of Zanzibar, a part of the East African state of Tanzania. Stone Town is an enjoyable place to saunter around aimlessly and experience a living history.

Wandamba means ''people of the valley'', indicative of this tribe's long relationship with it's homeland, Kilombero valley. Fishing is the primary occupation , and it is the calls of the fishermen returning from a night on the river which rouse me from my slumber. ''The catch is in'' explains Steve our safari cook, looking quite excited, ''let us go and choose lunch!''

Grace sews to make money to support her family. She lives on the peripheries of Arusha Town in Tanzania, East Africa. She makes curtains for a shop in the town centre, one of the expensive shops where all the ex-pats go to spend their money. Arusha is a small town with one main street and two small markets.
