There are a number of annual festivals that take place in Jamaica. If you are interested in any of these, knowing when they occur may help you decide when to take your vacation.

In Indian language Jamaica means "a land of streams". The island wallows in greenery of tropic forests, it amazes with abundance of the most beautiful cascade waterfalls. The climate at the island is damp tropical.

Negril, Jamaica conjures up images of stunning beaches, lively culture and basically a little bit of something for everyone. No wonder Negril is among the top destination for vacationers to Jamaica. So if you're seeking adventure or you would prefer to kick back and relax, Negril will make an excellent choice.

When your plane touches down at Sangster International Airport in Jamaica you will have to get your bags and then clear customs. Once through customs there will be many people wanting to help you with your bags etc. I'd suggest just getting your own stuff over to the Sandals Tour desk. H

Jamaica lies south of Cuba in the western half of the Caribbean. It was for several centuries under British rule and has maintained close ties with the United Kingdom since independence in 1962. Jamaica is among the most distinctive of Caribbean isles, primarily as the birthplace of Rastafarianism, which suffuses the culture, as does the music of the island's most famous native son Bob Marley.

One of the ports of call for our Royal Caribbean cruiseship during the week of November 28/04 was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Probably the most famous site in the region is Dunn's River Falls and we chose to tour it on our own rather than through one of the cruiseship tours.
