I must say first that any Mexico destination you choose you won't be disappointed; this is a game/test that will help you understand where to book your next Mexico Travel, based on your favorite activities, the things you like to do on vacations and the way you are. Discover Mexico and its Travel destinations.

It's never quite winter in L.A., but when November rolls over the coastline between Malibu and La Jolla, what could be more tempting than a swift getaway to the warm and sunny beaches at the southern tip of Baja California? A short flight from LAX will take you to San José del Cabo, a gorgeous resort and a renowned haven for entertainment moguls and Hollywood stars.

As Cancun's popularity ignited the sprawl that is now termed the Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta is now sprawling north & and west into the neighboring state of Nayarit. The first enclave in what is to be known as the Riviera Nayarit is called Nuevo Vallarta.

Cabo San Lucas, a beautiful little town located at the bottom tip of the Baja Peninsula, Mexico. The town is fairly small, with lots of shops, eateries and bars. We walked through all of the little shops in about a day without rushing. There are many unique items to be had and price is almost always negotiable. We have always loved the local flair and have never had a problem with the water (that is not a recommendation to drink it, though) or the local taco eateries.

Looking to soak up the warm sun this winter? The Caribbean and Mexico offer the quintessential R&R experience, with their plentiful beaches and laid-back atmosphere. This time of the year boasts some of the best tropical weather around, and with the range of accommodations available, you’re sure to find the right fit.

Although it's true that San Miguel de Allende has a fair number of Americans, both tourists and full-time residents, it's still an authentically Mexican town.

As Cancun is in the center of the historic region known as the Mayan Riviera, many of the city's events incorporate Hanal Pixan - the Mayan ritual of the dead. Both in Cancun and at most of the Mayan sites outside the city, candlelight prayer services are held on October 31 to commemorate the deceased.

Though Curacao may seem like your average Caribbean island, this vacation hotspot has inherited a cosmopolitan sensibility unlike any other destination. Though colonized by the Dutch, Curacao boasts an incredibly diverse population, with 45 distinct nationalities represented in its modest population.

Though some people assume that Cancun is full of nothing but overpriced souvenirs, there are plenty of great values to be found. Some of the best bargains in Cancun - for both entertainment and distinctive souvenirs - are provided by the vibrant local art community.

Upon retiring from Houston, Texas more than ten years ago, we were very fortunate to have chosen Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as our retirement destination.

On October 21, 2005, Cancun was struck by Hurricane Wilma, the most intense Atlantic storm on record. However, after little more than a year, Cancun has remerged as an even more enticing destination. With over $1.5 billion committed to the citywide rebuilding effort, resorts have not only repaired their structures, but have improved upon pre-storm conditions.

Early this year, a pair of professional divers uncovered a new landmark beneath Cancun and the Yucatan Peninsula. After years of searching and thousands of dives, Steve Bogaerts and his dive partner, Robbie Schmittner, were able to find a connection between two massive underwater cave systems.

Some of the most popular activities in Cancun are visits to the sites of ancient Mayan ruins. While many visitors are aware of the world-famous Chichen Itza and plenty of tours visit nearby Tulum, archaeologists and those in the know often recommend a forgotten Mayan city.

One of the most popular activities in Puerto Vallarta is a stroll down the city's famed boardwalk, the Malecon. Lined with shops, restaurants and artwork, the Malecon provides great entertainment for all ages and budgets. The young and fashionable can shop during the day and hit the restaurants and clubs at night. Families can enjoy the scenery, find plenty of friendly people and activities and rest on any of the boardwalk's many rustic benches.

While Puerto Vallarta is known for its charming architecture and majestic scenery, the city has always relied on Banderas Bay for survival. Resting in the middle of this sprawling bay off the Pacific Ocean, the city supported itself with the fishing industry long before the tourists arrived.

The one thing in the world that never puts me to sleep is the subject of Mexican churches. It's become a passion of mine since moving to Guanajuato, Mexico, and I never tire of visiting the scores of churches in the cities we visit. In fact, I end up spending more time in the churches than I spend at most of the other tourist sites in Mexico, especially in the colonial cities. I never tire of them!

This morning I wanted to hit first the museum that was actually Miguel Hidalgo's home. It was in this place where the insurgents would meet for their "Literary Meetings" and where the plot of the insurrection would be hatched. But, first another fulfilling breakfast to fortify us for the day was in order. After our meal we went to the plaza across the street for a rest. While there my wife wandered off the read plaques on the various objects erected in the plaza.

I had never been to Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico, before this week. We had been making plans to attend an International Book Fair in Guadalajara's Expo Center in November and chose a hotel in Tonalá to stay in during that time, as the rates were significantly cheaper than hotels around the Expo. Some friends called a couple of weeks ago to ask if we wanted to go to Tonalá with them in September.

I didn't think it would be that easy. It was a silly idea between my best friend and me, that mushroomed into something else. Let's take a trip. Get lost in Mexico. And we giggled like school girls as we planned on sunning ourselves on pristine beaches, sipping on pina coladas, and the occasional (not!) Bloody Mary.

Though Cancun is known for its luxurious resorts and pristine beaches, anyone who has visited this Mexican city knows that there is plenty to explore throughout the region. Beginning in the Hotel Zone – the heart of all activity in Cancun – tourists are able to take tours to Cancun’s rustic downtown area, charter scuba diving and snorkeling expeditions and even play golf on championship courses.

Acapulco is probably Mexico's oldest established resort town but, thanks to a recent renaissance, this remarkable town has maintained its status as one of Mexico's top travel destinations and the place to be to enjoy a magnificent Mexico vacation.

We pulled into San Luis Potosi about 2:00 p.m. after a very pleasant run on one of Mexico's fine bus lines. I love Mexican buses. Mexico did what I am convinced no other country on the earth has ever quite figured out.

The next morning, we popped up and prepared for a day to explore a place we'd never been before. I had been hearing nothing but good things about this town and my time spent in it would not find any contradictions to those reports. San Luis Potosi is located in a large and expansive plateau that sits in much of northern and central Mexico.

The Plaza de Armas is ringed by shops, both big and small, some eateries, and of course, the magnificently grandiose La Catedral. The most exciting thing I found was a shoe store that had New Balance shoes in my size! I had been hunting for these in Guanajuato, the land of little-footed men, but the stores were found lacking.

We wanted to not only see San Luis Potosi, but also take some time to do some much-needed shopping. When we moved to Guanajuato, we wanted to live in a mostly pedestrian town so we would not have to have a car.

Just returning from a wonderful trip to Puerto Vallarta, I've decided that tropical vacations are good for the "soul". It's important to take the time to get a way from the everyday routine.

If you have only been a tourist in Mexico and have never lived here, you may have never noticed this. Mexico is a country of little butts and its entire infrastructure is designed for their small, and perky rear-ends. In know this for a fact because I am a professional writer trained to note and record such things.

The charismatic Cancun can quench anyone’s thirst for enjoyment caressing the bountiful nature. The island is nestled in the lately recognized state of Mexico. Cancun leaves a thrilling impact on all its visitors because of more than a few reasons.

The Popul Vuh is the Bible of the Mayan peoples, or I guess I should say what the Bible purports to be. The historical and legendary traditions and laws of their ancestors; had mentioned the current temple was built around an earlier one that the jaguar cult of Kukulcan had built. It says that three brothers from across the ocean to the west; designed and led their ancestors to build this structure.

If you have never traveled to Mexico City before, getting around can be a bit overwhelming. There are many ways to travel within Mexico City, and the methods, rules and day-to-day getting from Point A to Point B can be frustrating.

The island of Cozumel is only 12 miles (19 km) off the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula's east coast and 44 miles (71 km) south of Cancun. For years, Cozumel was a quiet sleepy island that didn't get many visitors until Jacques Cousteau did a documentary on it after discovering the world class scuba diving at the Palancar Reefs nearby.

Playa del Carmen and the Mayan Riviera have an exceptional variety of attractions and activities from the Mayan ruins at Tulum to the Playa del Carmen nightlife. You will love your Mexico vacation.

Long, long ago in a faraway land called Mexico (you may have heard it) was a small, insignificant, flat piece of real estate located in the highlands of Central Mexico. Ringed by mountains, this "low region" was founded and by a lowly and humble Franciscan monk named Juan de San Miguel in 1542.

Travelers who are looking for a fantastic all-inclusive resort destination that is priced far below most tropical destinations in and around the Caribbean should look into Mexico’s Riviera Maya. This area has fast become a very popular tropical vacation getaway for travelers from around the world. The Riviera Maya is located on the Caribbean side of Mexico and encompasses the stretch of coastline ranging from about 5 miles to 60 miles south of Cancun.

For me, living in Morelia was a very rewarding experience. It was certainly far different than what I had been used to in the United States. When I went there in 1997, technology existed, however, technicians were at times limited in their knowledge compared to their counterparts in the United States.

Traveling the world will take you to many places and in some of them you may even find treasures. But treasures are not always made of gold or diamonds. Treasures are also made of copper. And in Santa Clara del Cobre in the Mexican state of Michoacán you will understand why treasures are also made of this modest and noble metal.

Mexico City has enough tourism sites to keep you busy indefinitely! Museums, art galleries, sports teams of all sorts, great shopping, a beautiful historic downtown area, wonderful parks... there is no limit to the things you can do in Mexico City.

Tourists have been coming to Puerto Vallarta since the 1930s, but it really became an "in" place after John Huston's Night of the Iguana was filmed here in 1964. The film starred Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, who later bought homes there. Now some two million visitors a year come to PV, as it's often called.

Tijuana is many things: a sprawling city approaching two million in population, a vibrant and prosperous business center with many foreign-owned factories, the main entry to the entire Baja California peninsula, and much more.

Summer all year... gorgeously turquoise ocean... sandy white beaches... shopping from Mexican handicrafts to designer clothes... stunning hotels with interesting architecture, many right on the beach... world-class restaurants... nightlife and dance clubs that go till early morning... Mayan ruins in the middle of it all... that's Cancun!

Mexico's first great resort destination, Acapulco is a stunningly beautiful city located around a bay on the Pacific Ocean, with miles of easily-accessible beaches. It's truly in the tropics, with palm trees and other exotic plants everywhere. Views across the bay are gorgeous, the sunsets are legendary, and the city lights at night are lovely from every vantage point.

Flying to Mexico is the most common way to go to the main resort and tourist destinations. Major U.S. airlines offer non-stop or direct flights to a wide variety of Mexican cities. You can work with a travel agent or you can book your flight over the internet. There is a tremendous variety in price, so it's worth doing some homework.

In recent years it has become easier for foreigners to own real estate in Mexico, including Mexican beachfront property. See below for more about how this works... property near the ocean is handled in a different way from other types. But it's great that we can do it now!

The first sight of the ruins was astonishing. The emerald green of the grass and forest, the textures of the rocks, the soft grayness and coolness of the gentle rain, and the view of several pyramidal structures all combined to caress the eyes and invite exploration. We meandered around the huge site. Over 30 of the more than 160 buildings known to archaeologists have been excavated. The further my husband and I went, the more amazing the buildings became.

Mexico is an interesting country, since I am here I have heard a multitude of people refer to the entrenched corruption that is part of the way of doing things here. The term “mordida” means “bribe”, and a mordida might be required when you get stopped by a policeman on the highway or when a large international company might want to build a shopping centre in a historically significant part of town that might affect archeological sites.

San Miguel offers many different spiritual and cultural sites that offer comfort and personal growth. This is a very beautiful and safe place that takes a person back in time. The cobblestone roads and walkways are different than what most of us experience in our daily life. These walkways offer various paths to the different sites of spiritual activities that once took place as well as retreats that are commonly held there today.
