The city of Dallas lies at the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area, which is the 4th most populous metropolitan area in the United States.



San Antonio is the 2nd most populous city in Texas, and 7th in the US over all. As of 2006, the city's population was estimated at 1,296,682, with an estimated 1,942,217 living in the San Antonio metropolitan area, which is the 30th largest metropolitan area in the country.

When I take a family vacation I want a little bit of everything – some fun, some thrills, some culture, some good food, a learning experience. San Antonio has it all! If this will be your first San Antonio vacation, you almost definitely need to plan it downtown.



There are times when bigger is better. It might mean you get a bigger piece of pie or an extra helping of fries. However, bigger can add complications when you are talking about moving a group of people around a city, such as Dallas. Transporting several people requires some advance planning and coordination to make sure everyone in your party arrives at your destination together and on time.
