Colorado is a diverse region of mountains, plateaus, canyons and plains.Colorado attracts thousands of skiers and snowboarders every winter.Colorado is a large state in the West-central US that has spent the last century battling Wyoming for the coveted title of "Most Rectangular State". Colorado became the 38th state on August 1st, 1876, a fact celebrated by no one at the time, since everybody was still too hung over from celebrating America's Centennial.Colorado is famous for its winter, but for those that know, it should more famous for its summer, but thats a secret. Colorado is the most dangerous state through which to fly and airplane, due to the risk of being hit by cattle that accidentally fall off moutainsides while grazing.

Aspen Colorado:

Aspen Colorado is known as the ultimate ski resort in the world. Aspen is located in Pitkin County at the southeastern end of the Roaring Fork Valley.Aspen Colorado is indeed a great place worthy to notice and to visit.Aspen has been America's major winter resort offering excellent downhill skiing opportunities from as long back as 1936.This vacation spot does depict itself as the resort of the rich and exclusive like sports and Hollywood stars.However, in reality it is not so.Aspen was into oblivion until the nineteenth century.It was a small silver mining town in the late 1800s.However, everything changed after the crash of the silver market economy. You can take in its splendor in summer as rates are much lower then, and what a beautiful place to be.In the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains the main attraction here, is no doubt, its skiing. Nevertheless, summer times often attract many more visitors because of added attributes like biking, hiking, horse riding, golfing, fishing, sight seeing and various cultural programs of dance and music.Fortunately, it encountered a change of fortunes and was famous as the prime skiing location for skiing enthusiasts from all over the world.However, this beautiful vacationland is not only about skiing,but also take advantage of other interesting spots. Interesting spots include major and exquisiteshopping centers and arcades You can shop for anything from designer clothes, boutique jewelry, handmade handicrafts, antiques, and many memorabilia The only drawback is that it is a costly venture; of course, it does not cost to do window-shopping. No doubt when your appetite arouses by far,the crisp mountain air does make you feel hungry.You can devour exclusive cuisine of the place with many interesting dishes.Alongside, visit any of the bars, enjoy your music, and dance to lively tunes and bands.The Red Onion is the first bar of the region serving drinks since 1892.Of course, there are too many other places to mention here.Go down main street and stop by the ones that interests you most,if you want to have a good time.
