From Bariloche- The Most Beautiful Place Ive Ever Seen! by JesslhillCU

With superb skiing in the Winter, glorious swimming in the Summer, and plenty to offer travelers year-round, Bariloche, Argentina is a nature-lover’s dream destination. Nestled at the foot of the Andes in the gorgeous environment of Patagonia, Bariloche has become a tourist favorite.

Realtraveler Jesslhillcu recently spent her Easter Week vacation visiting this charming town. She’s currently studying abroad in Buenos Aires , and she and her friends were glad they decided to brave the twenty hour bus ride to get there.

She writes, “Bariloche has soooo much to see. It is a touristy ski town. The ski mountain is supposed to be amazing, but it is fall turning winter here, so there will be no snow until July. Anyway, there are about 10-15 huge lakes that are concentrated in this area that are also surrounded by mountains. Honestly, these pictures dont do it justice.”

JesslhillCU and her friends had no shortage of things to do:

“While we were there, we went horseback riding, kayaking, canopying (where you go on a cable over the tree lines), lots of hiking, and of course the normal touristy stuff. I ate probably 400 pounds of chocolate and ice cream because it was THAT good. Bariloche is famous for awesome chocolate. Also, we stayed in a really cool hostel …which means you meet people from all around the world. I love hostels. ” (more…)
