I was in Dead sea..Israel...with my contact lenses...
And accidentally, this extremely salty water oflovely dead sea came directly into my eye, - Thanx to a lovely joker friend of mine who wanted to interrupt my peace over this holder waters-

So, what happend? My eyes were like on fire, and I, without using my brain, and rubbed my eyes...contacts were salty and became unusable, and I needed to take them off, to get rid of this firy feeling..

Anyway..I took out my contacts and became literally blind, since my eyes were -6,25 and -7 D. So, I had the chance of this experience: What a blind man would do, with contacts on hand, 50 Degree Celcius weather and 20 m away from the shore...and this is Damn DEAD SEA!! It is very difficult to move in that waters..!!

And that day..After I survived..I decided to have LASIK...

This is the story of my laser eye surgery..

I googled a little and found blumeditravel's web site. It was a company offering laser eye surgery. Anyway..After reading, I got to the point that, they are performing the surgery over in Istanbul..

So, flying from Israel to Istanbul was more cool for me, since at least I would have the chance to see the Capital of Ottoman Empire..

Anyway, this BLU people came out to be real Pro's of medical tourism so they offered a ..for me the top doctor of Turkey..anyway..-may be better than the ones in my country- Dr.Bas...Bas..Nusret Bas:)) haha

So the laser machines were really good..One were visx s-4 and the other Zeiss mel-80 or 90..- Don'T remember - ...when I asked the difference, the lady on the phone gave me a lot of tehcnical info..and in the end I said.."please make it clear"..so she made this clear cut sentence..:

"You can picture it like that..one is like a mercedes, the other one is like a jaguar..so it depends on which one you prefer.."

and I was like "WOAHH!"

anyway..they handle everything, from the moment I came to Istanbul to leave..everything..hotel, transportation..

Anyway I booked...since, they said, you can pay here in the clinic.

So..When I arrived there was a guy waiting for me in the airport holding the sign of "blumeditravel". So, at that moment, I gave a sigh of relief..

After I came to hotel, I realize it was not only me, so there were some other patients from Sweden and UK. So, we were a world karma..

At night, they gave us a presentation and at that point I finaly got the idea of what am I doing..actually wanted to run away.

The day after two lovely ladies welcomed us in the clinic and we had all this screenings. After all this cyber-techno screening stuff, they called my name to have the privilidge of meeting with the famous guy of the day, Dr. Bas.

At first, he was kind of a "cold" faced doctor, but than..probably understand how much fear I got inside, so he started to chat with me, made jokes...I told him this dead sea stuff and why I decided. He loughed and said he knows how I felt, since he had tried to swim in Dead sea too..

He made all manual checkups by himself, and in the end decided that I should have Intralasik instead, rather than lasik. Since my cornea was thinner..

Technology, technology..

This intralasik is actually..the same surgery, but the difference is they cut the cornea, the outer part of the eye, not with a blade but with laser...The lasers difference is, you can write your name to a hair piece with this intralase laser, so very precise.

And the amount they cut is in microns..so very very thin.

They dressed me and took to the surgery room, so I met with daaa mercedes:)

After the surgery, it was quite uncomfortable..I cried for 4 hours...

The day after, they took us from the hotel, went to hospital first, to be checked up...and over there..I learned I am 100%!!!

Then we started our city tour...
I am kinda tired..continue in my next pos
