During the time that palaeontologists are searching all the planet around for the bones of dinosaurs who lived many million years ago on Earth, it was found out that Chinese eat it in big quantities. Thus the farmers in central Chinese province Hainan find in the ground tonnes of bones of prehistoric lizards, cook soup out of it, pound it into powder and use as medicine. They believe that these are the remains of "flying dragons" which will help to cure the ill and improve their health.

The "dragon" soup is used for healing giddiness and convulsions, and the ointment - for fractures and different wounds. As the witnesses say in Hainan at least till the last year you could buy the petrifactions of different dinosaurs for 4 yuan (about $0.6) per kilogram. And what is more in one of the Hainan districts the farmers have made a present to the scientists of 200 kilograms of ancient lizards' bones "for research". Local inhabitants were surprised to find out that for many years they have been using bones of huge reptiles not the masters of sky and water- dragons.

It is significant that Chinese feel no disgust for eating the most strange products. Thus recently the Russian service BBC has reported that in the south-Chinese province of Guandun in the menu of restaurants and dining-rooms has come back the rat meat. As the journalists report, in South China the rat meat is considered to be a delicacy and some of them presuppose that this meat is more nutritious than pork or chicken-meat.
