Bangkok's shopping malls presents a paradise to shopaholics. The city has an impressive range of shopping grounds with modern, multi-storey architecture. From the celebrated Mah Boon Krong (MBK) shopping complex, to the stylish Siam Paragon, trendy Emporium and chic Central World, Bangkok suits everybody's taste and style.

Central World Shopping Complex

The newly launched Central World Shopping Complex lights up the battle among Bangkok's mega shopping malls to be the biggest and the best in the city. The revamped and re-branded Central World with 550,000 square meters of retail space is much larger compared to any other shopping complexes in central Bangkok, Central World offers an unrivalled mix of shops and services with a good range of restaurants and cafes that is definitely set to suit everyone's tastes.

Mah Boon Krong (MBK) Shopping Center

Bangkok's most legendary shopping mall is popular with both tourists and locals alike. The mall has eight floors, packed with 2,000 shops. Shops there sell everything from clothing, fashion items, accessories, handbags, shoes, mobile phones, electric appliances and DVDs. MBK is a flurry of activities, and especially on weekends, when Bangkok's population meet up and come together to shop for bargains. This is one of the favourite places to find great bargains, with one whole floor near the top level selling items for 299 Baht.

Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is a shopping mall filled with luxury goods throughout. Virtually every major designer brand has a store here, and you can even see car dealers (Ferrari showroom) too. This gleaming shopping and entertainment complex is an up-market retail complex which is home to hundreds of famed international and local luxury brands.

To escape the mid-day bangkok heat, you can head for Siam Paragon. The movie theaters are probably the most luxurious in the city, with incredibly deluxe and spacious seating. Food and champagne services are provided in the lounges incorporated into the cinema as well.

A wide range of restaurants are available in the complex, and for those on budget, there's a food court for local selections available. The supermarket in the basement is amazing with a large selection of product items, and at reasonable prices. The Ocean Aquarium in the basement is supposed to be Asia's finest, containing a full coral reef and schools of fish. There is always some kind of events or entertainment held in the complex too.

The Emporium

The Emporium is a seven storey complex for shopping bliss, with the first three levels dedicated solely to fashion. The ground floor is dominated by exclusive world-class brand name retail outlets, hot international designer items, leather goods and jewellery shops. The second floor is designed for the young and trendy, with trendy fashion clothing. For those who loves the latest fashion and big brand names, a trip to this mall will be a thrill.

Gaysorn

Gaysorn complex is another luxurious, high end shopping complex situated next to the BTS skytrain station. White marble outlook and gleaming chrome gives it an exclusive exterior. Here, you can expect to find a wide range of highly desirable international brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Hugo Boss, to name but a few, as well as a selection of Thailand's most innovative designers. Its contemporary design and novel retail concept create a very exclusive shopping experience.
