We arrived in Wellawatte, Colombo, from London UK, about 3am so didnt wake till late, heard commotion outside and grabbed camera. The railway is about 4-5 metres above sea level. Didnt realise the significance till later watching TV world news. Gives me shivers because if we had gotten to Sri lanka a few days earlier we would have been down south in the worst hit areas.
