I had just watched Mississippi Burning and was outraged about what happened in my country in the 60's and then three days later, Yusuf Hawkins was gunned down in a senseless case of racist mistaken identity just blocks away from my home in Benonhurst. I edited in the crowd to go along with the music and hail this as one of my bolder racial statements - no computer graphics or fancy solos. It tells a story that made me weep and feel ashamed of what a few in my neighborhood did to bring racism right to the heart of my Bensonhurst community.
