Carted deer hunting - Blood Sports in Ireland
|
Carted deer hunting sadly remains a legal blood sport in Ireland. Captive-bred deer are released and chased to exhaustion by a pack of hounds. Although the aim is not to kill the deer, the creatures suffer a gruelling cross-country chase which leaves them exhausted, injured and at risk of dying from heart failure. Deer have also died while being recaptured. The Irish Council Against Blood Sports is campaigning for a ban on the Ward Union carted deer hunt and other blood sports. Join our campaign today at www.banbloodsports.com. Thank you.
