Camping in Las Vegas, New Mexico
Here's a rare chance for any Beirut fans to see Zach Condon before he became famous. A group of us spent the weekend at an old summer camp in the mountains near Las Vegas, New Mexico. The camp belongs to our friend Mike's family so we had the whole place to ourselves, which was awesome. We drank, goofed off, drank some more, and had a jolly old time. We even managed to make a terrible amateur horror movie during our stay, with Zach starring as "Vampi" the evil, French, bread-making, poet vampire... hence his ridiculous makeup and even more ridiculous pseudo-French mutterings while seducing his victims. Good times!
