Freshwater Otter Pup on Exhibit—Help us Name Her
Our newest African spotted-necked otter pup, born behind the scenes in September, is now on exhibit—and she needs a name! Cast your vote for one of three Swahili names. Voting ends December 31. The winning name will be announced in the first week of January.

White Shark on Exhibit
For only the third time since 2004, we have a young white shark in the Outer Bay exhibit. He arrived on August 28, and will remain in the million-gallon exhibit as long as he's in good health and hasn't grown too large for us to return safely to the wild.

Mission to the Deep
It's the largest, most mysterious habitat on Earth, and now it's yours to explore. Our newest exhibit takes you on an amazing adventure that combines high-definition video of incredible deep-sea animals with the hands-on experience of using underwater robots and other high-tech tools to explore the ocean depths.

Splash Zone is Temporarily Closed
Our blackfooted penguins are taking a six-month vacation starting September 5th, while we build a bigger and better Splash Zone for them (and you) to hang around in. They'll be back on exhibit March 17, 2008. We've still got lots of family-friendly exhibits for you and your young-kids to explore and enjoy. Check out Wild About Otters, "Flippers, Flukes and Fun" and the first floor touch pool.
