Founded in 1999, Gitelink is a website whose main purpose is to serve as an online directory enabling owners of holiday rentals (gites) to promote their properties directly to potential customers, without incurring the expense of an intermediary or agency. The second purpose of Gitelink.com is to provide useful tourist information about regions of France and Spain.
Gitelink is a non-commercial website inasmuch as it is not involved in any kind of online sales and does not offer any opportunities for ecommerce or online transactions. Gitelink plays no part in the rental of holiday properties beyond enabling tourists to enter into direct – or on occasions indirect – contact with the owners of holiday rental properties. Gitelink takes no commission on rental contracts established directly between owners and their guests.
